We were able to finish the Bible study I had started with the sportsmen. We are going to review the six lessons about how to make wise decisions. This study has been a blessing for myself personally. It was a good opportunity to renew my mind when it comes to making choices and being able to talk with the sportsmen about this topic even when we are doing something else.

One of them came to me and told me that his mother no longer wanted him to come to our Bible study. I told him , "the choice is all yours whether you choose to obey your mother or Christ. You pour over the Scriptures because you think you have eternal life in them." I told him, "your mom tells you to do certain things during the day and you obey her, and that is the way you should do. But my question for you is, don't you think that God who created us and gave us life has some something to tell us every day? Our mothers who raised us expect our obedience in return. Don't you think God has certain expectations from us as well?" After this talk, he told me he understood, and he was going to tell his mother as well. I encouraged him to talk to her and if she wanted to, she could come and talk to me as well about this important topic for us as sportsmen. I think she understood because she hasn't called me so far. We are waiting to see if the Holy Spirit will touch her heart.

The trip to Poland was another opportunity to see Christ's abundant love poured over us. The county administrative department covered half of the expenses for this championship. The best thing is that I had the opportunity to share the Gospel with the driver and two other sportsmen. We also talked about what repentance meant and the way we should worship God.

Ion is a sportsman who usually has many questions. His brother is a Christian and lives in the Czech Republic. He came for the championship and we rejoiced together over the results. Most of all, he was glad his brother had a Christian beside him to lead him to Christ. The championship outcome gave us the opportunity to share the news in our church as well. I invited all the sportsmen to come along with their friends and families. Only Ion, his wife and two other sportsmen responded to our invitation to attend. But I am glad they made it and hopefully they will come again the following Sundays. We intend to invite them over for lunch to our place.

During the competition, the sportsmen had the opportunity to pray more. We would have a devotional time every morning. It was a good time to study a Bible text and to get some practical teaching. That happened every morning and the driver took part in the fellowship as well.

The championship has been a blessing not only for us but for the ones around us too.
