I was involved both in the spiritual and administrative aspects of the ministry. There still are many unfinished things regarding the papers for the building of the church. But praise the Lord because more men started to get involved in this matter. As I already mentioned in my previous reports I have counselled those who know the Lord and need to grow spiritually. I continued the counselling meetings with Slavic, Eugen, Vera. I started to meet with Daniel for counselling him too. He is a responsible young man. We talked about discipleship and he confessed to me that the Lord had showed him lately that he should do more for Him. I shared with him a study on John's Gospel in which I showed him how he could share this study with another young man. I organized a prayer evening for the youth in the church for the same purpose. I shared with them once again the vision of serving others. Although it is difficult to wait for things to change, I was glad to do it again and entrust the changes into God's hand. We are blessed as a church as we have young people that live close to the church. I struggle to disciple them. This month we had a baptismal service. Five people confessed the Lord publicly. We rejoiced over Alina, Silvia and Victor (husband and wife), Estafie and Pavel. After Victor and Silvia turned to the Lord in May of this year, they were married in September. As a family we have tried to help them grow spiritually. Last time when we had a fellowship they said we were their spiritual parents. Alina helps Olga in the children ministry. Pavel is one of the young people who turned to the Lord two years ago. He is dedicated to the youth ministry. We organized a table tennis competition for teenagers. Some of the children from the club have formed a new team of teenagers. We used this opportunity to evangelize those who don't know the Lord. Serving the Families from Emanuel Church For two months each family from the church have shared their testimonies on Wednesday evenings. They shared how they met the Lord, met one another, and how the Lord works in their lives. It is encouraging to hear their testimonies. The families are encouraged to teach the young people. The Word is preached on Sunday and is lived before them on Wednesday. Evangelism Through English Classes We bless the Lord for this opportunity of sharing the Gospel through English classes. Chris is an extraordinary teacher. He will teach English in our church for three months. He has over fifty students. During his classes he shares something from the plan of salvation. Next Thursday we will have a special meeting in which we will have an English party. Our purpose is to present the Gospel clearly. This week I participated in an evangelistic program with men from the Baptist churches in the south community. I preached in four churches encouraging the believers and calling people to repentance. There were some who received the Lord Jesus into their lives.
