This month we slowed down the pace of the ministry. It is the only month of the year when we can rest. We continued the evangelism project in the twelve areas. I continued to meet with Victor who had received the Lord during the camp and was open to study the Scripture with me. We started to study the Gospel according to the St John. I was surprised to find out that he already read half of the Gospel at my suggestion at the camp. I thought that he wouldn't read unless I reminded him again.
From the 18th of August till the 31st we were gone on vacation in Romania. We went in Oradea, the village where we had ministered. Although we made a lot of visits, we managed to spend some time alone together. It was my pleasure to see fruit there besides the churches that I had ministered in. A few of the young people that I had preached to turned to the Lord and were baptized. My faith was strengthened when I saw that God brought forth fruit in my former ministries. Some of the people that turned to the Lord were those who I didn't think had a chance. Another experience for me was that I saw God's answer to some of my old prayers. When I was a student there an old lady from the church asked me to pray for her husband. Before I left Oradea village, her husband had turned to the Lord. After a short time this man was called home by the Lord. During the memorial service a man was touched by the message that I had from the Lord. And when I was in Oradea he told me joyfully and tearfully how he had turned to Christ. I also prayed for the old woman's daughter, Lia. She became a Christian two years ago. This old lady has another daughter, Laura, and a few nephews. She asked us to continue to pray for them. The Lord answered our prayers which gives me great joy. During our vacation I had the opportunity to get in touch with four churches and a few families, friends and coworkers. We didn't rest enough, but we were encouraged.
