This last month I went to Resita and had my graduation ceremony there. We were given out school diplomas.

With God help, I continued to work with the new converts from our church. We also taught the baptism preparation study with them. Lord willing, we hope to have a baptism service at the end of August. Please pray for that.

The Lord has worked mightily in our area this month. We had a guest who is a police officer who had become a Christian 8 years ago.

On July 11, during the morning service in Tunari, two people gave their lives to Christ. They keep coming to the church.

On July 18, we had an evangelistic service at church. We had the evening service outside in the church yard. We had somebody who played the keyboard with amplifiers. Around 70 people came and two of them prayed to receive Christ. They've been coming to church ever since.

Another gentleman, Marin, who was there, called me the next day to tell me that he had been very anxious. He wanted Christ but was afraid to seek out help. I told him it was because of his master, the devil. He said he wanted to give his life to Christ. I told him I would be looking forward to that.  Marin showed up the following Sunday and listened carefully to the sermon. At the end of the service he knelt down and the whole church prayed for him.

Marin used to be a cigarette smuggler. He would only work 2 hours per night and get a 500 euros salary. He was part of a dangerous group of people. He even said one time that he could do without God in his life. But that day he got caught by the customs police. They took $3000 from him. When he remembered that, he felt very sorry and asked for God's forgiveness.

We met with the kids every Saturday when around 22 kids came. Eight of them also came on Sundays to the church services. They usually pray in the church and recite Bible verses. We had an evangelistic event for them where Brother Moise brought along some Christian puppeteers who had performed for kids.

Whenever I have the opportunity to have a talk with somebody, I also try to talk about the Lord. When the others were telling me about their family, I would ask them about their relationship with the Lord. Then we would start talking about their lives. I've noticed people rely on their good works and they want God to reward them for the good they do.

From the beginning of the month, I went to Bucharest several times to have some tests on one of my kidneys. Even though I requested to have the kidney stone broken, the doctor chose surgery. He did that because the kidney was in pretty bad shape. So I had the surgery which was followed by a painful time of recovery. I am actually still recovering. The spot is not completely healed but the doctor said there was nothing to worry about. Therefore, the surgery took me out of the ministry last month.
