We had two major events this month, the conference about human trafficking and the Easter march. The conference was meant to meet an urgent need by preventing the youth from our country from falling into this trap. More than 150 young people had the opportunity to hear some professional people lecture on this topic. Our church helps a woman who was involved in human trafficking. Her husband abandoned her and she has had to raise four children alone. We are helping her both spiritually and socially. We visit her every two weeks and spend time with her, encouraging her to trust the Lord. We helped her financially to undergo some dental procedures and we also give her food and clothes regularly. I want to thank HeartCry for the financial help to buy some things she needed such as a stove, washing machine and other things.
Another event was the Easter march. We had 12 cars and rode to 9 towns and more than 30 villages. We greeted the people with "Christ has Risen!" and organized evangelistic events in towns. The people could hear the sermons and songs. I was the coordinator for Cahul Cantemir and Leova.
On the 19th of April we got together with all nine home groups to have communion together. There are new people who proved to have leading abilities. Larisa, a 19 year old young lady, led a group of 7 young girls in Bible study. Natalia, 19 years old, led the Bible study for the young married women.
I counseled a young family who had been married for 8 months. They had some tensions in the family because they did not prepare themselves well for marriage. I had four counseling sessions with the husband and six with the wife. Afterward, I brought them together and they acted better. They understood that God wanted them to learn new things and reach a different spiritual level.
I am currently working with a 19 year-old young man. Even though he says he is a Christian, he ended up twice in a relationship with unbelievers. The lessons are supposed to teach them about subjects like Why are We Not Allowed to Date Like Others?, Are We Allowed to Kiss and Hug?, What's the Proper Context to Know Each Other?, How Do You Propose to a Girl? How Do You Respond to a Proposal?, What is the Engagement?, What Does the Wedding Mean? I've been in touch with more than 50 young people. I send them the lessons via e-mail and we communicate back and forth.
