The last months were the most intense months we have had in Japan. We are amazed and have not stopped praising God for His power, mercy, and grace. Also, the enemy has attacked us like never before. We are emotionally and physically tired, but with joy and grateful hearts. We praise the Lord for giving us three years of New Life [church's name] as a church. We celebrated our anniversary last week with two baptisms.

Praise the Lord! A Peruvian lady named Alicia was baptized last week! It looks like a long precious story. Three years ago Alicia's first son was born with complications and the family asked Luis to go to the hospital and pray for the baby. That was the first time she heard the Gospel. After that, she used to come very irregularly to the church but there was rejection every time she heard about repentance. But at the beginning of this year, she came one day asking for help because suddenly she understood about her sin and the need of repentance. She was crying asking God for help because she said "I was destroying my family, I am the problem, God please forgive me." Since then, the Lord started to change her life and she comes two times a week for Bible studies and her husband has started to attend church on Sundays. Last week as we celebrated our church's 3rd Anniversary, she shared her testimony to the church and was baptized in the Tama River. Praise the Lord for His power to save us and to change our hearts and lives!

Praise the Lord! Three years ago, Luis started music outreach to Japanese people. After a time, all the members were invited to study the Bible as part of the music fellowship. Luis had interesting battles and debates between the Word of God and the Japanese idolatry, prayers to the dead and idea of millions of gods. K_____ told Luis more than one time that she hated the Bible study and she tried to discourage other people from joining it. But it's not a surprise that our Lord had other plans for K_____. After three years of constant rejection and attacking the Bible, she surrendered her life to God at the beginning of this year.

Japan is one of the most sordid and God hating countries in the world, this is why most of the time when a Japanese becomes Christian he/she faces a lot of rejection and attack from their own families (especially husbands). A long time ago, Japanese people used to persecute Christians, they crucified and boiled them alive because of their faith in Jesus. The Japanese used to capture Christians and ask them to do "fume" (it means to spit or step on a slab with the image of our Lord Jesus). Many Christians died because they refused to deny our Lord. It sounds surprising, but K_____ was asked to do the same by three family members and they warned her that if she got baptized she would suffer the consequences. K_____ is a new Christian but I have never seen a person in Japan facing so many unbelievable trials for her faith. God is giving her a strength and faith that we cannot understand. Knowing the warnings and the constant physical and emotional battle of the last months, K_____ decided to get baptized last Sunday. It was a day we will never forget; the power of God and the love that K_____ has for our Lord is a light that is a blessing that we don't deserve to see. K_____ said that she has great problems and it is very painful to be attacked by her family everyday, but the light and beauty of her Saviour is greater and bigger and that is all that she needs. All glory to you precious Jesus.

Please pray for Alicia's growth and the salvation of her husband. 

Please praise God for giving us a third year to work for Him as a church and to be a witness of His power, mercy, and love.

Please pray for K_____. Praise God for the faith that she is displaying, but also pray for strength and peace in the daily trials in her house. Pray for the emotional trials, the financial trials, and the physical trials.

Please pray for K_____'s daughter C_____, she is 12 years old. Since January she was asking also many questions about God and wanted to know more about Jesus. These last months she is witnessing a lot of hate and suffering in her family; she was asked by her father to deny Jesus and she didn't. She said that she wants to love Jesus and be a Christian. C_____ is also a target of Satan's attack, so please pray for protection and for our Lord Jesus to save her soon.

Please pray for the Latin Americans in Japan. After the earthquake, there are many unemployed and financial problems for many families because of the reduction of work days.

Please pray so God will send more supporters to this mission and missionaries to our church here in Japan. We want all this country to surrender and bow down to the Only and Real God, our Saviour Jesus Christ.
