Dear brothers and sisters, coworkers of the HeartCry ministry! Greetings to you in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior!
We are grateful to the Lord that he keeps us and leads us into Heaven. We are also grateful to you for your prayers and material support. We are thankful to God that he allowed us to start raising up the walls of the future church building before frost, even though it isn't much at this point. Now that the temperature has dropped below -13 F all construction work had to be terminated and all we are doing at this point is fabricating blocks so that in spring, when it warms up we can continue building up walls at a faster pace. Besides this there is also an issue of electrical system that needs to be repaired in the old building where we have our services now. Unfortunately we were not able to perform any work in the area of evangelism. Our focus right now is on edification of church members providing them with a Biblical foundation for their walk in the family, their communities, their work and in this world. It was very encouraging to us that our young people started to gather regularly last month for fellowship and in-depth Bible study on their own accord. Seeing spiritual growth among youth never stops bringing joy to my heart. We resumed studying the catechism ("Basics of the Christian Faith") on Wednesday nights. We were also busy for the last three weeks gathering clothes, shoes, kitchen gear and Christian literature for poor people in our town, who have alcoholics in their families. Contrary to our expectations, that my wife Oksana's business would dwindle because of the impact of the world financial crisis, she still continues with her work. Praise to God that he kept her job and she continues to help support our family, her mother's family (including her two under aged brothers) and some needs in our church. My eldest daughter Katya and I are experiencing severe headaches due to the change in weather. Please continue to support us in prayer. We know that in the most western countries the economic crisis is going away, but here the analysts predict that 2010 will be even harder and there will be the second wave of the crisis. Our government is helpless in generating any kind of economic growth. On top of that they are working on some bills which if signed into law will double the tax level next year. We can only hope for the mercy of our Lord. We thank you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ for all your help to us. We ask you to pray diligently that God will continue to use us in these conditions. His name is worthy of all praise and it will be praised. With gratitude and love in Christ, Brother Vladimir.
