 The months of December and January were a blessing to us. At the end of December, one husband and wife obeyed the Word of God in taking baptism as public obedience after accepting Christ as their Saviour. It is a fulfillment of our Lord's great commission in Matthew 28:19-20. Let me write a few words about them. The husband's name is Parasu Ram (named after a Hindu god) and the wife's name is Urmila. They are purely from a Hindu background and they had their own family goddess in their family's temple. They were strong Hindus. One day the wife was brought to a Sunday church meeting by one of our church members. Since that day I started to visit their family regularly and share the Gospel. The wife first responded to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. God brought a complete change in her. She had a hunger to know Christ more. Then her husband started to oppose her and wouldn't let her go to church. He was afraid that in turn she would finally lead him to become a Christian. Such was the situation in their house. This sister was not allowed to go to church, I then encouraged her to be strong in the Lord and be a good wife as Peter says in 1 Peter 3:1-2. By the good conduct of the wife, the unbelieving husband can be brought to the Lord. Really, that worked in her husband's case. He slowly started to show interest in knowing Christ. I shared the Gospel with him and he accepted the Lord. God brought about a change in him and he removed the Hindu god's  picture from his home. He pleaded with me to guide him to become a disciple of Christ. Then I gave baptism to both of them.He's almost completed reading through the New Testament, and he's fasting once in a week for his spritual growth. Now he wants to win his own people back in his own village. In his village only two Christian families are there. Please pray for them that they may be strong in the Lord, and have commitment to Christ.  My wife is getting better from her headaches. Please pray continuely for her.
