GRACE REFORMED BAPTIST CHURCH UPDATE

It is once again time to write. In fact, I am a little overdue with my update. The loving Saviour has been so great to me, even though I fail Him every so often. I often wish that my actual service to Him would be as big as my dreams… but when I compare, what I do is only a shadow of my big dreams.

In last weeks, God has richly blessed me. Although mid-week meetings are low and I am missing my family, there is much to be grateful about. Here is how I have been blessed:

  1. I received messages of assurance of prayer from home and abroad.
  2. Ascension Day is a public holiday in Namibia, and our church has a service on that day. Godwin M. preached a great sermon that just lifted my soul from the ashes.
  3. Reverend Gevara N. was here for a five-day marriage conference. Attendance was very good, although by the third day only three couples from our church were in attendance. Thank God the impact could not be significantly felt as churches of like mind and some of unlike mind were there. We were greatly blessed and I can now feel something of the pressure to follow-up with some cases.
  4. Today, 27th May 2010, I have had the privilege to be on the airwaves of Namibia with my fellow elder of Eastside Baptist Church, Pieter S. We were invited to share on the subject of death and funerals. Time went very fast in the studio. The program will be rebroadcast this evening. It was very great.
