GRACE BAPTIST CHURCH, ZOMBA, MALAWI There is much to give thanks for Mr K. It seems that the Bible studies I have been having with him on Thursday evenings are bearing some good fruit. Last Sunday he came early for the Bible class and, for the first time, he sat beside his wife during both the Bible class and the worship service. This is a sign of improving relationship with his wife, which hopefully is resulting from an improving relationship between him and the Lord. We pray that he may yield his heart and life fully to Christ as his personal Lord and Saviour. On Thursday, June 11, when I last visited Mr Makhumula, he told me how the elders and pastor of his church had not been to see him since September of last year despite his having been an active church member before he became bedridden with a stroke. I encouraged him to look to the Lord for comfort in his situation, and added that as men we are weak and bound to disappoint each other, but the Lord is the Friend who sticks closer than a brother. He expressed much appreciation for my sharing God's Word and praying with him. According to him, it does him more good than medicine. I trust and pray that God will graciously apply the Word to this man's soul for His own glory.
I had began to visit Mr and Mrs M. on Friday evenings to explain the way of salvation more clearly to them. They have been attending worship services often for some time now without making any commitment to Christ. The last two Fridays Mr M. had left home and switched off his cell phone just before our time of meeting. He, however, appeared for the worship service on Sunday. He came after the service had started and left  soon after the service without waiting to talk to anyone. This indicates that for the meantime he is content with simply attending church without making any serious commitment. We continue to pray that as he attends worship the Lord may soon awaken him to seek Christ for the welfare of his soul. ÂÂ
