KAFUE

REFORMED BAPTIST CHURCH
BI-WEEKLY REPORT – 9TH TO 23RD MARCH, 2009
It’s with many thanks that I write this report to you brethren, trusting that you will continue to pray for the work here in Kafue.

Week Beginning 9th march
During this week I would value your prayers particularly for two events:

During Youth Day, our youths were in the streets distributing tracts (two types) to their fellow youths. I did two tracts tailored to young people.  We are grateful to the Lord that almost all our regular youths participated in this important work. We continue to look to the Lord for fruit from this effort by our young people.

On Saturday I was preaching at a district Scripture Union meeting, for all the basic schools in Kafue.  The theme of the rally was “Empowered to Conquer”.  I sought to show this from Hebrews 10 and 11. Again I would value your prayers for the effectiveness of the word that was preached. There were close to 70 young people in attendance.

Week Beginning 16th March
During this week I would value your prayers as regards the following activities:-
I had evangelistic Bible studies with the following individuals

Brian - a school teacher, from a Catholic background, he has genuine questions about salvation, and is very keen to learn more of the gospel.

Boniface - last year I had some studies with him, now we have resumed. Pray that this will now be sustained.

Mr Chipoya – he is one of our members but on account of his job (police officer), he is rarely at church, so I do some studies with him, hopefully he can in turn use them at his place of work.

We again had our Public Book Table in Kafue Estates, from 09:00 hours to 17:00 hours. We were able to distribute the church brochure, the church bulletin and the booklet, “What is a Biblical Christian “. We were also able to make a few contacts for follow-ups, some of whom we have already begun to visit. May the Lord grant us fruit from these efforts.

Pray for a Mr Musamba, a man I have been trying to get to come to church, for the past six years. He was in church this Lord’s Day. Will he come again? Pray for his salvation, as well.

AMEN
