REPORT FROM KAFUE REFORMED BAPTIST CHURCHBI-WEEKLY REPORT - 27TH OCTOBER TO 9TH NOVEMBER, 2008 We continue to give thanks to the Lord for your prayers. The Week Beginning 27th October, 2008 I spent this week in Botswana, at Central Baptist Church, Gaborone, ministering the gospel during their harvest week, under the theme of Mark 8: 36 what shall it profit a man to gain the whole world and yet lose his own soul? Pray that the brethren will be able to do the necessary follow- ups, and that the Lord will grant fruit to the gospel that was proclaimed. The Week Beginning 3rd November, 2008 Monday, the 3rd November, I travelled safely back from Botswana, arriving the following day, Tuesday, the 4th. Thank God, the family was okay, especially that my wife is also away in Lusaka at school. We also currently have to look after my ailing mother. Her health, especially the BP has particularly been trouble some. She is currently on medication, and will be with us for a while. Pray for her good health. Wednesday, 5th November, was the day for our mid-week prayer meeting. I have continued to do the series in Ezra, now we are in chapter 8. One of the new members gave the following prayer request, "Let us pray that other brethren might come and join us in these meetings". The attendance has continued to be low; we need your prayers in this regard. Thursday, 6th November, in the evening, I took time to visit a couple, Mr and Mrs K., who have been coming to church for sometime now. The idea was to ask them about membership. They felt they had found a spiritual home and asked to be given the membership forms. Pray that they will soon join the membership and that as they do so, they will find a place of usefulness in our midst. On Friday, 7th November, I taught my class at our Pre-school College in the morning before proceeding to Lusaka to make final arrangements for my trip to Cape Town, on Saturday 8th November. This week has also been hectic because I have to do my final preparations for school in Cape Town, for Monday 10th and Tuesday 11th November. Kennedy Sunkutu
