REPORT FROM KABANANA FAITH BAPTIST CHURCH

4th - 16th December Bi-Weekly Report

Brethren, We are amazed at the Lords doing with the work at Kabanana Faith Baptist Church. There are a number of things happening with us and to us. The Lord has been very gracious to us and we hope you will continue praying for us. We still continue to face a lot of challenges in many areas. The following is what we are asking you to join us in prayer for:

PRAYER ITEMS

1. We just finished our discussions with the owners of the land we want to purchase for the church building yesterday. All that remains is to make payments and the land will be ours. Things seem to be flowing smoothly. However, we still need prayers that the owners receive thier money as soon as possible. As you may be aware many people seem to be in building business and we do not need to take too much time. We are thankful to Kabwata Baptist Church who are helping us, to see to it that the land is purcharsed. Also, start praying for us that as the Lord blesses us with a land that many may come to the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

2.We are very happy to mention here, that our youths seem to be growing. Just two weeks ago we allowed them to attend the youth concert which was held at KBC, and from there we could read the mood. At the concert we sent nine youths and according to them it was a good experience, then after six days seven decided to attend the reformed Baptist Youth camp and this one, was very wonderful for them. They told me that they have never been to a church grouping like that in thier lives. The messages preached added some zeal and fire to thier spiritual lives. To them at the moment is to serve God, which is a right direction for us. Brethren, please pray for our youths, especially that the devil should not take advantage of them. As you may know most of them are new in the faith and sometimes youthful zeal lasts only for a moment. All of them are coming from our most consistent attendees homes.

3. We will be meeting on the Christmas Day in the morning. This is because the day fails on Thursday, our day for Bible Study and prayer meeting for a special service. Pray for me as I bring the word of God on the proper meaning of Christmas. Pray also for soul during this time that many may come to repentance and faith.

4. Pray for Ruth M.'s husband, Kellis, who keeps on hardening his heart on the Lord's grace. He is right now sick at home and the wife is worried over him. As you might remember some time ago I gave you a request of him for salvation.Another, one who is not our attendee is Temwa, Benard H.'s wife. She still insists on attending the ZIONs church. The whole family comes to our church except her. She needs much prayers or she can end up being a stanbling block.

5. Pray for the pulpit ministry. I am looking at the subject of Christ's birth and the prophecies in the OT of Jesus - How that He can not be mistaken as someone else. He is the only one.

6. Pray for our growth both spiritually and numerically.
Remember, whenever you pick up a banana Remember the CHIRWA's who are labouring in Ka-banana.
