SECOND REPORT - PETAUKE GRACE REFORMED BAPTIST CHURCHDear Brethren, Greetings in the wonderful name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I trust that the Lord has been gracious to you. As you are aware the last fortnight has been a wonderful period for us. In addition to our weekly engagements, we also had a baptism and constituting a members list. Both activities went on smoothly. We give glory and honor to the Lord. I baptized Sister Grace B. whom at 15 years was baptized in the JW church. After receiving the Word, she decided that she would be baptized. She that her first baptism happened before she repented. Now that she had repented it was the right time for her to be baptized. The baptism service was humbling, Sister B. chose the following hymns to be song; there is life for a look, have to Jesus, Years I spent in vanity and pride, and the as she was coming out of the water she chose; oh Jesus I have promised. During her confession, she broke down, asking the Lord to forgive her of her past life. I preached from Romans 6:3-4, theme; "Walk in newness of Life". This happened on 29.11.08. And on 30.11.08, we constituted a membership list. The members are 13. We thank God for this and it is our prayer that from now on the membership will grow from this number. Attendance during Sunday has continued to range between 45 and 50, and this includes those not yet baptized and children. On 10.12.08 I shall start my leave for 14 days. I am planning to go to Malawi to check on the translation of the 1689 Baptist confession of faith. I shall lodge with Pastor Percy Chisenga`s family. Brother David G. T. will remain in charge at church. Prayer Items Lovemore B.
