REPORT FROM SINDA REFORMED BAPTIST CHURCH

6th November, 2007

Dear Brethren,
The Church in Sinda greets all the Brethren that labour in praying for us. As we are running towards farming season,we always experience poor attendance in our Church services and Bible Study Groups. People the go farming in their fields on Sundays. Please pray for us, because already we have started experiencing this problem. As a Church, for the month of October we have been healthy both spiritually and physically. We thank you very much for your prayers which brings fruits and unity among ourselves. Although there are so many challenges that we are facing and going through but still, we depend on the Lord the Almighty God.

1. CHURCH
Bernard P. it has taken him one month without coming for Church services. Follow-ups have been made, but he has no reasons for his absenteeism. Mutashe B. is an old lady but she drinks and smokes very much. She has been with us for eleven months.

(a) SUNDAY - 28th October, 2007
We conducted the church services in the Pastors home, because there was a funeral close to our meeting place, hence we were not allowed to do our services from there. This affected the attendance. Only 20 together with the children came for the services.

(b) JOSEPH L.
He professed his faith in the Lord Jesus Christ on Sunday. He came to the Pastor that he wants to join the baptism class. This happened after the Pastor preached from Romans 12:3-8.

(c) CELL GROUP A
Is led by Getrude B., Pastors wife. One interesting thing is that George Phiri does not belong to any congregation but attended this Cell Group on Saturday and he was very happy with this Bible Study. He promised to join them again and pray for him.

2. OUTREACH
Simon and Kenneth N. are brothers. They are Roman Catholic believers. I was surprised that they completely refused the depravity of man. They also did not agree with the Bible that eternal life is the gift of God through faith in Christ, we read from Romans 6:23b and Ephesians 2:8-9.

(a)YORONIMO T.
I have been with this family studying the Bible together for a year. They are Roman Catholic believers and they have under what regeneration is.

(b) TERESA P.
She is one of the people that we are reaching out. Unfortunately on 2nd November, 2007 her boss refused us to follow her at her working place for Bible sharing. This was the only place and time to meet her, because she works throughout the week, pray for her that we can have another chance to meet her.

(d) PATRICIA Z.
She is also being reached with the Gospel. On 2nd November, 2007 after we had Bible Study with her at night some suspected people burnt her house and everything inside her house were burnt. She is a divorcee with three children, the former husband married another woman. She is a Roman Catholic believer.

3. BAPTISM
On 3rd November, 2007, we had our second baptism since our Church started. Three days before baptism one candidate came at our home at night, she told the Pastor that when she prays she could develop fear in herself. I did read the scriptures with her and prayed for her, fortunately she had demons which were casted out. She no longer experience the same problem. These are the people who were baptized;
1. Mrs Patricia Z. - 29 years old
2. Zelesi P. - 24 years old
3. Mrs Violet P. - 34 years old
4. Mr Wilson B. - 40 years old.
