Brethren, we are very happy once again for the prayers you render to us at Faith Baptist Church. We are also certain that due to your prayers, the Lord has really been gracious to us. Things are not the same, and the Lord is working, so do not stop praying for us.

PRAYER ITEMS:

Building

We are happy to mention that some of the things we asked you to pray for have come to fruition. We have been praying a long time for a piece of land for our church building. We were trusting the Lord for His favor and surely He has answered us by directing us to land which has been lying idle for years. We have since spoken to the owner, who is offering it for K15,000,000 ($4300 U.S.). Brethren, please pray for us as we start the process of buying land, that the resources needed may be available and that we can start building bit by bit.

Conversions

Pray for our church in the area of conversions. We have people coming to our church who are not saved, and also pray that existing genuine conversions may be recognized. Pray for Mr Mutale C and his wife who come to our church and yet do not show any signs of conversion. We have done some counseling with them on their marriage life, and we have presented the gospel to them, and it seems nothing much is coming forth. Pray that grace may find it's way upon their lives. They are a fine young couple.

Evans M is another person who needs our prayers. He has been instrumental in the life of our ministry. He is the one who introduced Mutale C to our church, and he also brought along his wife, yet he himself is not consistent with his life. I have been able to confront him to pursue godliness and I have presented the gospel to him. It is clear that he is not saved. Pray for his conversion, that the Lord may open his eyes. Pray also for his employment, as he is not in a formal job. Right now his wife is pregnant and nothing much is happening. Your prayers will make a difference.

Youth Ministry

We have now eight youths meeting on Saturdays and growth seems to be promising. Mr. H, one of our first converts whom I discipled, volunteered to assist them every Saturday by way of teaching and leading in devotions. Pray for Mr H, that the Lord should use him mightily in this ministry. Pray especially for Temwa, his wife, who is not a Christian and is holding on to ancestral worship called the ZION church. She is the only one at the H's who does not attend our church.

Lastly, continue remembering us in prayers, especially the pulpit ministry, that many should come to know the Lord Jesus Christ in a personal way. Our daughter NIZA is not fine, she has a high fever. Please pray for her. Amen!

Your Servant in Christ,
Pastor Curtis Chirwa.
