Bi-weekly Report Covering from 10th August to 9th September 2010. Church: Faith Baptist Church, Kabanana s.s, Lusaka.
Dear Brethren,
We realize that you may have been wondering why you did not receive our pray items last time. This was because at the time of sending the report the Annual Reformed Conference was taking place. We honestly had no time to send anything. The conference was starting at 08 hours and ending at 21 hours every evening. We want to apologize for failing to update you as our custom states. Here are the concerns for prayer at Faith Baptist Church:
First of all, we would like you to pray for our family. Just after the conference we went through a sickness of coughing, sore throats and severe headaches. We understand that the weather is getting hotter every day. Just three days ago my son Nathan was bleeding from the nose, and I have been feeling bad for the past two weeks. Even as I write I am not yet completely healed. You will do well to put us in your prayers in regard to healing. I would also like you to pray for our families financial situation. My wife and i are doing school which require payments and other requirements. You will do well to bring us before the Lord concerning that.
Last time we mentioned to the baptismal class we were doing. Well, I am happy that all five successfully completed and are now awaiting to be baptized. The following are their names: Victor, Nathan, Lorna, Gertrude and Muzacho. Please, pray for them that the Lord to keep them as we organize for the baptismal service. The number of converts will come to 10 at Faith Baptist church, and this will allow us to constitute membership.
Pray for us as we will be having a children's evangelistic gathering. We want to minister to the kids in our community. This will be happening on the 25th September, and our goal is 60 to 100 kids. This will be the first of its kind; we have never ministered to children since our church came into existence. We are praying that the Lord will grant us increase in the number of kids attending our church. Therefore, we ask that you join us in prayer as we prepare for this event.
Our faithful attendee, Mr. L. has a daughter who is very sick. You will do well to put them in your prayers. The other concern for our attendees is Ruth M., who recently lost her husband. We have received reports that she is not doing well spiritually, and we have since spoken to her. You will do well to pray for her that the Lord should preserve her from the fiery darts of the Devil. Pray for our church ministries at Faith. Pray for the church to grow both spiritually and numerically. We need God's grace very much.
Please, keep remembering in prayer our church building project. We did not intend for our land to lie untouched. We will value your prayers for money to be available so that work can commence. We had planned that by August a foundation box will be laid, but not our plans are God's. Remember us in all we are doing at Faith Baptist Church. Amen.
Your Servant of the Lord,
Curtis C. Missionary Pastor
