FAITH BAPTIST CHURCH MID APRIL BI-WEEKLY REPORT FROM 8TH – 21 ST APRIL 2010.
Dear Brethren,
And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. We are delighted yet again to report to you what the Lord is doing in our midst. I can say that church planting is total dependence on God. Hence, your prayers are what we live by. So please, continue presenting us and the ministry of Faith Baptist Church in your prayers to God. Marvelous are the things the Lord did for us during the past two weeks. The following are the happenings of the past two weeks.
Please, pray for our new attendees, Alice and Esnart M. They lost their father on Sunday. The burial took place on Tuesday. We sent my wife and Mrs. M. to comfort the sister during the bereavement. So continue remembering these sisters in prayer. They are in need of your prayers during this time. Remember, these are the ones who joined our church few months ago. Two weeks ago, I started following up with one man called Mr. Victor L., who happens to be a relative of one of the Kabwata Baptist church members. At first, it seemed as though he was too busy to get in touch with him. But the Lord intervened in the situation - his text said he was no longer busy and that we can meet. Yesterday, I visited him and we had a wonderful time in the word of God. He seems to be an interesting man. After about three hours of hearing the gospel, he promised to come to church this Sunday. However, I will be meeting with him even today so that I can show him where we are meeting for church. To make the long story short, Mr. Victor says he is tired of living a godless life and needs God in his life. To such people, a Christian in good standing will appreciate the power of God to convert souls. Pray for me as I help him see the truth of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Let me take this opportunity to thank all those who sent information regarding their relatives and friends, so that I can follow up with them for the sake of Christ. I do know that many are your relatives and/or friends who live near Kabanana site and service. Remember, evangelism is done in many ways and a text message and or a call to me can save a soul. That is the mission of all the churches, everywhere. In this regard, continue praying with me and for me as I continue to follow up with another man. Another KBC member sent to me for follow up. His name is Mr. S. and his status is a non-Christian and an alcoholic. Pray that when I get hold of him the Lord will zap him with His Spirit of salvation as he did to all of us who are Christians. Remember, we were filthy as a rag.
Brethren, please pray for our attendees. We are experiencing a low attendance in our church worship services. We are about to embark on a baptism class for our new converts and attendees who have since joined us from other churches who are saved and were not baptized. We have a new neighbor in our neighborhood. I have made an appointment with him for bible sharing. You will do well to put both of us in your prayers as I evangelize him and his family. Yesterday, I visited him. We could not talk for he was going to work. But he agreed to meet after work. Last Saturday, we had a church work-day in the morning. It was good that we turned out in numbers to clean the surrounding church property. We are intending to put a bill board with our church’s name on it, as we continue to pray for the money of building the foundation box this year. The work will be completed next Saturday and our prayer is for a good turn-out again. Pray for each member’s commitment on this day.
Prayer Requests:
- Pray for the pulpit ministry that the Lord should convince and convict those that are not saved.
- Pray for all the ministries at Faith Baptist church.
May God bless you as you remember us in your prayers. Remember, we are here because you keep remembering us in your prayers. Your servant in Christ service,
Curtis C. Missionary Pastor Faith Baptist Church
