Faith Baptist Church
Bi-weekly Report
From 26th to 7th April, 2010

Dear Beloved Christians,

We want to thank you greatly for the love you render to us in many ways. As I usually put it, we survive by your prayers.  We are encouraged to learn that brethren such as you never cease to remember us before the Lord.  The Lord has been wonderful to us here in Kabanana. The following are our prayer items.

Thank God with us for the way He undertook for us to raise money for the Reformed Baptist Vernacular Conference of Lusaka churches.  We want to take this opportunity of thanking KBC for the support.  We have been able to do all these things with their help.  I can report here that the conference was a success and we had about 150 people in attendance.  This shows that as vernacular churches we are slowly growing.  Next year we will have the 10th Reformed Baptist Vernacular Conference. We pray that we will be able to raise enough money ahead of time.  Please, pray for us in that regard.

Before leaving for the conference Nathan and Niza (my children) had malaria. We began wondering if we were going to be able to make it to the conference. We thank God for the quick recovery.  It was clear to us that the Lord intervened in the situation.  However, on Sunday (the last day of the conference) I became sick as well.  I had sores in my throat, a headache and general body weakness.  It was certainly the development of malaria. Even as I am write the spirit is willing to work but the flesh is weak. Please, brethren, pray for me.  I am taking anti-Malaria medication and tomorrow is the last dose.  I am hoping for the best.

Please, pray for Mr. S. One of the ladies from KBC contacted me to follow-up with him. I have tried my best to witness to this man but all my efforts have been in vain.  The man is still lost and a heavy drunkard.  Please, keep praying for him as I continue pursuing him for the sake of Christ.  Pray also for our members who failed to attend the conference due to reasons beyond their control.  Our prayer is to see them next year.  We thank God that our church had 21 attendees at the conference, although some could not go.   Continue praying for the church building project.  We are hoping, God willing, to do something with the plot before the end of the year.  However, funds are needed for everything to happen.  I do want to thank God for the answered prayer.  Last time I requested you to join me in prayer for a bicycle. As our church grows people are coming from distant places. I was told that there is a bicycle or me at KBC.  Until now, it was too good to believe what the Lord has done.  Whoever it is who did thing, may God’s blessings shower upon your life.

Pray for our church in every department as we labor here. Amen

Yours truly,

Curtis C.
