FAITH BAPTIST CHURCH BI-WEEKLY REPORT FROM 11TH MARCH TO 25TH MARCH 2010.
Dear Brethren,
I am delighted to have another time of sharing with you what the Lord is doing at Faith Baptist Church. It has been really a blessing to acknowledge your efforts in remembering us in prayer. As I usually say, we survive by the prayers of saints such as you. So please do not stop praying for us. The following are some of our prayer needs.
Thank God with us for the successful youth seminar held on the 13th March. We had a wonderful time together and the turnout was overwhelming. We pray the youths will put into practice the things they learned.
Please pray for Mr. S. who is not a Christian. I follow-up every Saturday. He was introduced to me by Mrs. K., a member of Kabwata Baptist Church. She shared the Gospel with him at their work place ZESCO. His big problem is that he is an alcoholic and will need much patience as we reach out to him. Please remember him in your prayers and his family for salvation.
Last Saturday we had a church-wide evangelism effort. The women did a door-to-door outreach while the others were scattered around Kabanana sharing the gospel and distributing gospel literature. Even with an effort like this we didn't have any visitors on Sunday. Our prayer is to revisit some met during this event and see if we can invite them again for the Sunday worship service. You will do well to pray for the salvation of lost souls in our area. Pray that the elect will come to salvation through the preaching of the Word.
We have now concluded preparations towards the Vernacular Reformed Baptist Conference for Lusaka churches. We are all required to raise two million kwacha per church to meet the budget costs. As you all know this is not easy for a church like ours. Therefore, we are asking you to come on board with financial help and to remember us in your prayers as we draw closer to the conference date. We are also inviting you to come and be part of the meetings. Call me for details.
We also insist that you continue praying for the pulpit ministry for the unction of God’s Spirit whenever the Word is preached. Our desire is to preach the Word with clarity for the benefit of all mankind. We believe that this can only be done if you are remembering us in your prayers from time to time. Pray also for spiritual growth among our attendees. We have a strong desire, God willing, to start developing our piece of land by August of this year. So pray for us in that regard as well.
We thank God for the privilege I had of attending the Parsons Diet which was held in the Chingola Misenga area. It was indeed a balanced spiritual diet and worthy attending. I am sure all the pastors left that place full of knowledge on how best they can be of good use in their ministry. I thank God that I was one of the attendees who partook of the spiritual food. Let us pray that if this kind of opportunity comes again many of the pastors leading reformed baptist churches will be present.
Remember to pray for us (the C.’s) as we labor in God’s vineyard of Kabanana. God bless you all. Amen!
Yours in Christ Service,
Curtis C. Pastor: Faith Baptist Church, Kabanana, LSK.
