FAITH BAPTIST CHURCH
BI-WEEKLY REPORT
FROM: February 25TH TO March 11, 2010.

Dear Brethren,

We are very happy to have brethren like you who take time to pray for us in all areas of our church. As we always say, we are unable to achieve anything in our own powers; but by God’s grace through your prayers our church is a living testimony.  The Lord never ceases to amaze us here at Faith Baptist Church as we continue to witness his love and power.  The following is what the Lord God has been doing with us the past two weeks.

First of all, join us in thanking the Lord for the provision of a church plot for building our church sanctuary. This was nothing but God’s work for us.  Please continue praying for us to find money to commence the church building project.  We are looking for 30 million Kwacha to get us started with all the ground work.  We are trusting God this will happen before the end of the year.  On that note, you can thank God with us for the electricity pole line which was inserted in our church plot.  This was a gracious confirmation from the Lord. All that will be needed in the near future is to tap power from within our property.  God is gracious; thank Him for us.

I have been sending you updates concerning Esnart M. and her sister who joined us not very long ago. I have been talking to Esnart and she seems to have made up her mind to settle in our church.  We will soon accept her on our attendees list.  We continue having meetings with her elder sister concerning the same issue.  Please, pray for Esnart’s sister Miss M. as well that after our meetings the Lord should lead her to settle at Faith Baptist church.  These whom the Lord has led to our church will need your prayers. This is what we ask of you brethren, pray for our prospective members to be serious and committed.

During my evangelism rounds over the past two weeks, the Lord led me to speak to two families who promised to come to church this Sunday.  This is the family of the M.’s and the M.’s.  Mr. M. and family are new in the area and say they have not yet found a church.  I had time to share the gospel with them and I invited them for church on Sunday. They said they will start attending our church since it is near to their house. Prayer that the Lord would speak to them regarding salvation and membership in our church.  Mrs. M. is the one I met on Tuesday, as I was following up with the other family.  I shared the gospel with her and she seemed excited about attending our church.  She is a widow with grown up children in business.  She used to be a Catholic at the time her husband was alive but now she is churchless. She needs prayer for salvation and a biblical church where she can grow spiritually. I think Faith Baptist is the right church for such people, what do you think?

Brethren, pray for Mrs. B., whom the Lord sent directly to our church last Sunday without anyone inviting her. I spoke with her after church and she agreed to be visited on Friday or Saturday.  She told us that her husband is a pastor, yet she opted to come and attend our church service.  If the Lord is leading her to our church, pray that she finds answers to her life’s quest in Faith Baptist Church.  I will be talking to her on the weekend.  Pray for God’s anointing as I speak to people throughout the week. Pray also for the B.’s in whatever the Spirit will lead you to pray for.

We will hold a youth seminar at our church on Saturday 13th March. The topic will be christian friendship, making right choices and godly friends.  It is an in-house event but we have invited a few young people from Chisomo Baptist Church, Chiyanjano Baptist Church and Johnleng Reformed Baptist Church.  Pray that this event will acheive the intended purpose of helping our youths to live godly lives.  I will be the speaker and I will need your prayers as we handle this matter for God’s people.  Bible club commences this Saturday as well.  Pray for direction and perseverance as we look for permanent helpers in this ministry.

Pray for our pulpit ministry as we deliver God’s Word every week. Pray for the men we are training for leadership.  They seem to be doing well with their weekly assignments. Remember to pray for the C.’s laboring in Kabanana whenever you pick up bananas for a sweet course.

Yours in Christ’s Service,

Curtis C.
