FAITH  BAPTIST CHURCH
END OF FEBRUARY BI-WEEKLY REPORT
FROM 11TH TO 24TH FEBRUARY, 2010

Dear Brethren,

Thanks for remembering us in your prayers every time we send you news from the life of Faith Baptist Church.  The Lord has been gracious to us in many ways.  The church continues to be on top of the mandate to spread the Word of God to the lost world.  We will never grow weary until we see many coming to faith and repentance in Jesus Christ. Although the laborers are few, those of us who have been called to labor in His ministry will give it no rest until we make Jerusalem her praise.  The following is how the Lord has dealt with us the past two weeks.

Please, continue praying for Mrs. Ruth M. who lost the husband early this month. She is undergoing counseling.  She seems to be responding well to counseling, and our prayer is for her to recover sooner than later.   Also, pray that she should not falter during this transition period, which comes with so many challenges.  Remember also Mutinta, her two-year-old daughter.

The year 2010 seem to have begun with a bang. In two months we have received a total number of six visitors.  That is not common for a church of our size.  There were five females and one man.  We have been evangelizing them and it seems we are getting somewhere.  The man who visited us was just here for a short stay.  He came from Ndola and found himself among us one Sunday. Two of the women among the number are seeking membership.  They left an old Southern Baptist church which is in our area because it has turned charismatic, Pentecostal, restoration, etc.  To them it is nothing close to a Baptist church any longer.  I am going through the doctrines of grace with them so they will know what we hold and believe.  Please, pray for their understanding.  Two more women visited our church; one is from a Pentecostal background while the other is a non-believer.  My wife followed up with them and again the conversations seem to be heading a right direction.  They are willing to continue attending our church.  However, we will need much of your prayers in this regard.  I made an appointment to visit a fifth young girl this Friday.  She has been at our church twice and she even attended the youth meeting last Saturday.  Please, pray that the people the Lord has brought might stay permanently.  I will give you their name in the next report so that you can start praying for them specifically and meaningfully. Two from the five female names I gave in my last report.  They are  Esnart Mambwe and family and her sister Ruth Mambwe and her family. They are sisters with independent homes.

Continue praying for our growth both spiritually and numerically. The Lord is attentive whenever you pray.  We are also reminded that the Lord is truly with us.  Our pray is for him to dwell with us strongly as we see many coming to a saving knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.  Do not get tired of praying for us brethren. Amen. May the Lord and our Savior Jesus Christ give you a burden for remembering our ministry in your prayers.  This should not be forgotten - whenever you pick up a banana for sweet course, remember the C.’s laboring in Ka-Banana, Lusaka.

Yours truly,

Curtis C., Missionary Pastor
Faith Baptist Church, Kabanana, Lusaka.
