MID-JANUARY, 2010
BI-WEEKLY REPORT
FROM 31ST DEC. TO 13TH JAN. 2010

Dearest Christians,

We greet you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Hope you have continued remembering us in your prayers.  We are very happy to mention that the Lord has been our guide throughout 2009 and this was because of your prayers for us.  We can’t believe that we have been in existence as Faith Baptist Church the past one year and nine months. Soon we will be two years old. Do not cease to pray for us this year.  Below is what the Lord undertook for us during the past two weeks.

Join us in thanking the Lord for his mercy toward Faith Baptist Church and that yet again he has worked with us.  We are not so blind to forget all his benefits for us in 2009.  We do wrestle with principalities and powers that work against the work of God.  However, the Lord God Almighty has always been on the throne ruling with power - ever encouraging us to carry on with His ministry he has given us.  Pray for us that even this year the Lord God might work wonders in terms of conversion through the preaching of His word in our church.

Two weeks ago, we reported to you that we are following up some people who visited us at the Christmas evangelistic service.  At least our efforts bore evidence when we saw one young man come to church on Sunday. This, of course, is encouraging to us.  However, pray with us that this young man might be saved and grow in the things of God at Faith Baptist Church. I will mention his name upon his settlement with us.

Throughout 2009, I called upon you to pray for the wives of the men I have been training for leadership (men who were saved and baptized through our ministry).   I remember sharing a request specifically for brother H.’s wife (Temwa) who was in a spirit's church called ZION.  With her, I thought it was going to be tough coming to our church with such a background. Her answers to our previous church invitations were very negative.  Praise God it has been now over a month of her attending our church.  Pray that as she comes to our church, Christ will reveal himself more in her life than ever before through the preaching and teaching of God’s word.  It is obvious an awakening has began for her.  Pray also for her salvation, so that the whole family may became part of Faith Baptist Church.

Kelly M. is much better. You will remember we were praying for him throughout 2009. He is the husband of Ruth, the only lady we baptized during our first (Faith Baptist Church) converts baptism.  He has improved a great deal after being ill for over a year now, but one thing still remains.  He is far away from the Lord.  He is not saved and I continue requesting you to pray for his salvation.  Nothing is impossible with God.  For example, Temwa is one of the people we thought would never come to church. However, she is now coming.  Pray that Kelly be saved this year.  God alone can save him from his sins.

Pray for Muzacho (Mrs. M.) who came to me last Sunday asking me what she can do to be saved. I am happy to mention that I did my best to show her what the bible teaches about salvation.  On Tuesday, she came over to our home and testified the fact that she has given her life to Jesus Christ and that He is the Lord of her life.  Pray for her that the call will be evident to her and that a holy life will evident in her. This is a person who used to think she was a Christian, and yet was not.   Evans, her husband, is not a Christian and in need of your prayers as well.

Pray for the entire Faith Baptist Church and its ministries. Remember, don’t just eat those bananas; pray for the chirwa’s laboring in Ka-banana, Lusaka, Zambia.

Your servant in Christ,

Curtis C.
Faith Baptist Church, Missionary Pastor.
