SINDA REFORMED BAPTIST CHURCH REPORT - 19TH OCTOBER, 2009

Men's Fellowship

On October 16th we went out to evangelize in the village. Six men were involved in this endeavor, and we divided ourselves into groups of twos. Upon sharing the gospel, each group was asked to return in the future. Whenever we begin to evangelize, people think we are Jehovah's Witnesses. However, after speaking with them they eventually realize that we are not. Pray for us, as people want us to return and share further with them regarding the gospel.

The late Mrs. Tambuzai Z.

Mrs. Z. applied for membership at our local church in May of 2009, and she and her husband were accepted into membership in July of 2009. On October 11th, 2009, God called her to rest. She was buried in her village, 15 kilometers away from Sinda town. I would like to thank God for pastors Lovemore B. and Mathews B. for helping in transportation and preaching for the funeral.

Faneli S.

She is married to Thamison S., and they have two children. Mr. S. does not attend church. Mrs. S. has been attending our church since 2008. Last Sunday before the service, she told me she wanted me to read her testimony of conversion before the congregation. I did this for her, and she and the congregation were pleased. She is too shy to stand in the congregation to speak, so I talked with her more at her home for further clarification of what has happened to her. Pray for her to get baptized.

Mrs. K.

Mrs. K. is married, and she and her husband have four children. Her husband is an alcoholic, and because of this Mrs. K. does not attend church. One Sunday as I was on my way to our morning service, she stopped me and pleaded with me to come and share the gospel with her family. We have made arrangements to visit them.

Prayer Needs

  1. Pray for Mr. Z., who recently lost his wife.
  2. Pray for funds for the church building.
  3. Praise God for the spiritual growth we have seen.
  4. Pray for Mr. T. and Mrs. S., our new converts.
