FAITH BAPTIST CHURCH
BI-WEEKLY REPORT
FROM: 11TH TO 23RD SEPTEMBER 2009

Dear Brethren,

We are pleased to always know that you do not cease to remember us in your prayers. The wonderful Lord has been very gracious to us in many ways. We are humbled by the way the work has been going on the past two weeks. Here is the news and our concerns to be taken for pray:

PRAISE AND PRAYER ITEMS

Two weeks ago I shared with you the prayer concern of our attendee's husband Kelly Matebele. I mentioned to you his illness and that he was admitted at Maina Soko three weeks ago. His condition has not improved up to now. Please, continue to put him in your daily prayers. He has been sick since November of last year. His wife (Ruth), who was converted and baptized in our ministry some time last year, has gone through so much with her husband. Her Christian experience has been that of pure faith. Remember her also in your prayers as she nurses her husband. Ask that the Lord might be gracious to her and Mutinta their daughter.

Pray for the preaching of God's word every Sunday, especially for the salvation of souls. Pray also for the teaching ministry as we continue looking at the subject of practical Christianity. This time the title is "Charity." This virtue must not be missing in the life of a Christian (emphasis added). Previously, we looked at two aspects of practical Christianity. We looked at the subject of "prayer" and "bible reading." Please pray for us as we bring forth his word in this manner every week. Thursdays used to be only for bible study and prayer meetings. We have now started alternating with prayer meetings every fortnight and a bible study meetings like manner. Two weeks ago I met the husband of one of the ladies who came for the Evangelistic tea party. Until two weeks ago, I had been trying to catch him for some time. We had a wonderful talk about Jesus Christ and after that the whole family came on Sunday. This young family seems to have potential. You will do well to prayer for them, especially for salvation. They are unchurched.

Our church ministries seem to continue struggling. Please, pray for the following ministries. The Women's Ministry needs to be more organized. Additionally, the young people are sometimes not focused and disorganized. We need zealous young men to give direction to this group. The Children's Ministry is another source of concern. It needs another dedicated young zealous person to be called to direct this group. We have one young person helping in this ministry. Do pray for us in these ministries. These are the minstries we have at Faith Baptist Church at the moment.

Pray for the us as we labour at Faith in Kabanana. Amen!!!

Your Servant in Christ,

Curtis C.
Missionary Pastor
