SEPTEMBER 2009 REPORT TWO
CHACHACHA CHAPEL

In this report, I look at ministry activities during the last half of September.

th September - We met in the house group to evaluate the evangelistic studies we had for ten weeks. We did not reach as many people as we had expected. One of the people who had attended comes to Church. We continued praying for the seed that we had sown.

th September - I attended another house group evangelistic bible study. We had several visitors. We looked at making a commitment to the Lord. Only a few people had some questions. We urged people to take the word seriously.

th September - We had a time of prayer with the elders. We discussed a number of issues affecting members. We thereafter spent time in prayer. In the evening I met with the men of the Church for a time of prayer. Many men came to pray. We just had to stop after praying for sometime because it was getting late.

th September - I went to attend a funeral of a sister in the Lord who had lost a husband. This happened after a domestic quarrel. The man had sold the family house without the wife's knowledge. He asked for forgiveness from the wife, but the wife could not forgive him. He drank poison and died. After the burial, I went to talk to the widow. She was under pressure from the relatives as the one who had caused the death of her husband. I talked with her at length and then prayed with her. She had not eaten for some days and she was looking frail.

th September - We gathered at Church on Sunday morning for group activities. I was teaching the new member's class. We looked at commitment to the word of God so that every member of the Church would understand it. Many people came for the main service and we looked at being at peace with all men. In the evening, we continued with our series in the book of Ruth and I was preaching on the blessedness of work.

st September - We had a local leader's meeting and looked at various projects of the Church. We itemised a number of projects and we have to take them one after another.

rd September - I visited a family where all the children including the mother were sick. The man was the only person in good health and he is taking care of everyone else. After encouraging them I prayed with them. I moved on to see another member of the Church. The husband does not come to Church. I took time to talk to the husband and encouraged him to come to Church. He promised to come whenever he is not on duty. I went to attend an evangelistic meeting in one of our house groups. Many people had come and there was no room in the house. The study focused on asking the right questions.

th September - I attended another house group evangelistic meeting. There was only one visitor, but a number of dependants came. We looked at making the right choice. After this a woman from our Church called and she complained about her niece who had squandered her school fees. I only listened and asked her to see if she could find any solution to the problem. I promised to talk to the girl at a later stage.

th September - We met in the morning with elders for a time of prayer. Our focus was to pray for the evangelistic meetings on Sunday. We also prayed for the other weekend activities. In the evening, we had another prayer meeting with the men. Many men of the Church came and we specifically prayed for the guest service.

th September - I attended the youth fellowship. There were about twenty people present. One of our deacons preached on "What is a Leader?" The message came out well, but many young people did not come. I moved on and visited a couple who had moved into a new house. We discussed how they could be involved in Church work now that they were staying near the Church.

th September - On the Lord's Day we met for group activities before the main service. I was teaching on the value of prayer in the life of every member of the Church. This was a guest service and we had invited a number of people. Many visitors came and I preached on the subject "Do Not Miss Heaven." We had a time of refreshments for the guests after the service. During the evening service my colleague preached on commitment. Only a few people came for the service.

th September - We visited a man who had been sick for a month. His blood pressure shot up and he was on medication. We talked with him and his wife in order to console them.
