FAITH BAPTIST CHURCH
REPORT: 15TH TO 30TH JULY, 2009.
BI-WEEKLY.

Dear Christians,

It is indeed a blessing to know that God is moving with us here at Faith Baptist Church. We have had quite a number of activities which happened in the past two weeks. We thank God that, in his wisdom and providence, he moved some of you to come over and do some evangelistic work with us here at Faith Baptist Church. I hope the Lord will move many more of you to join hands in the evangelistic efforts here at Faith. The following are some of the Lord's doing for us in the last two weeks:

PRAYER AND PRAISE ITEMS

Two weeks ago I shared a request for Kelly M.'s, the husband of Ruth M., our regular church attendee. We have been praying for him for both salvation and healing. His condition was not very good at the beginning of July (such that he was admitted at Maina Soko Hospital for 3 days). We are here to tell you that the Lord God Almighty heard both your prayers and ours because Kelly is doing much better. The change of medicine by the good doctor at the hospital has scored a successful story for this man. Pray now for his salvation that the Lord might speak to him graciously to the point of redeeming him. Pray for the wife Ruth as well.

We want to Praise God for the Roma Cell group which is assigned to Faith Baptist Church for coming to do some evangelism last Saturday 25th. I want to take this opportunity to inform you that from your efforts the Lord granted us some visitors on Sunday. Sydney, who is a young man Brother M. spoke to during evangelism, came to church. We know that many people promised to come but could not on this particular Sunday probably because it was too cold. Pray that the remaining ones we spoke to will come. The Roma cell was with us in the morning.

That same day we had the Women's Ministry of Kabwata and Chisomo Baptist churches helping out in the door to door evangelistic outreach in the afternoon. This saw the coming of Mr. M. and his three children to our Sunday worship service. Mr M. told us that he congregates with one of the Traditional churches called "The Covenant (Chipangano) Tumbuka Tribe Dominated Church" which is not in Kabanana but in Kalingalinga. Pray that the Lord should open his eyes for the truth, and that conversion should take place. Surely Kabanana and Kalingalinga is no short distance for church while there is one true, bible believing church nearby such as Faith Baptist Church. Pray for this man. So we had two visitors on Sunday as a result of the brethren's evangelistic efforts. We talked to many souls, and we should pray for all the souls whom we spoke to. For us at Faith we were very grateful for the one day of evangelism as you can read.

The change of weather to that of coldness came with many difficulties, and just like others we were attacked by the sinus virus and colds/coughs which seem to be in the air at the moment. My little daughter Niza was down twice this month. She is healing slowly. Thanks for your prayers. I was also not feeling fine on Sunday afternoon until Tuesday. That is when I felt much better. Continue praying for us in this regard.

We will be having a seminar this Saturday and we have invited four from Chisomo Baptist, two from Johnleng Reformed Baptist and two from Chiyanjano Baptist church. This seminar will be preparing our men in properly "leading the worship service "and "how to song lead".You are therefore asked to pray for us for this meeting. We are hoping that after this our men will learn some good hints concerning how to handle the service. Pray brethren, pray.

Remember, when you eat a banana to remember to PRAY for our labouring in Kabanana.

Yours in Christ Service,

Curtis C.
