JUNE REPORT ONE 2009 CHACHACHA CHAPEL
A reflection on some of the activities I did during the first half of the month of June.
st June - I went to the hospital to see my patient. She was looking bright, but her wounds were getting worse.
rd June - I went back to the hospital and found that the patient was still in pain. After this, I went to attend the house group. We had a bible study on preparing for house group evangelism.
th June - I went to attend another house group. We were looking at the importance of following up with people after an evangelistic bible study. A number of the people in the group were Christians, but we had few non-Christians.
th June - I went to the hospital to check on Lillian. She was tired of being in the hospital and she longed for relief from her pain. I moved on to see a man who had come to Church and had made a profession of faith. He had just lost his wife and this, in a way, prompted him to start searching for God. I also talked with his housemate and they both promised to be coming to Church.
th June - My wife and I went to the hospital to see the patient. We found that there were a number of people visiting her. She was bright and she was talking freely with the people.
th June - On the Lord's Day, we met for group activities. Few people attended the adult bible class. Many people came for the main service. I preached on the subject, "Return to the Lord." We saw the importance of non-Christians returning to the Lord and for the backsliders to come near to the Lord. When went back for the evening service where I looked at the value of taking up the cross to follow Christ. After the evening service, I went with a number of members of our Church to the hospital. She was happy to see all of us and we encouraged her to hold on to the Lord.
th June - We had a local leader's meeting to look at some of the projects of the Church. We got a report that the tiles were put in the Church and we are only remaining with the ceiling board, but there is need to start thinking of extending the Church because already we are running out of space.
th June - We began the day with the elder's prayer meeting.. We prayed for the activities of the weekend and other needs of the Church. Later in the day, I went to the hospital and found the patient was in pain. I moved on to attend the faculty meeting. We looked at the modules to come and who should teach these courses.
th June - We had the elder's meeting and we were looking at the coming evangelism in house groups and the next books to study.
th June - We had the elder's prayer meeting to commit the various needs of the Church to the Lord. Later in the day, I went to the hospital to see Lillian. She was crying because of the pain.
th June - I went to see a man who comes to Church, but he is not a believer. I tried to find out how he was fairing in his relationship with God. He told me there was progress, but he was still in bad company. I went to see another new couple in the Church. The man had applied for membership, but I felt he needed more time before he could become a member. The wife was active in the life of the Church and a more likely candidate for membership. I then moved on to go to the hospital. The patient was calm and tried to sleep.
th June - Many people came late for the bible study. There were many people who came for the main service, but there were still many who were away for various duties. I preached on how Christians easily lose their love for God. We looked at how to do evangelism in house groups.
th June - I visited a man who recently started coming to Church. I wanted to find out about his faith. I only found his son. I promised to go back. I went to see three people who were sick at home and did not come to Church on Sunday. They were not feeling well. I moved on to see another woman who had a funeral, but she had been away from Church for a long time. I found that she had travelled.
PRAYER ITEMS We thank God for may people who have been coming to Church. We thank God for the progress on our Church building. Pray for the salvation of the people who have been coming to Church. Pray for house group evangelism which begins at the end of the month of June.
